Why should I refer a patient to Arkansas Allergy & Asthma Clinic?

As a medical provider, you want the best for your patients. Our board-certified allergists at Arkansas Allergy & Asthma Clinic accepts nearly all health insurance plans and networks in areas we serve. Certain plans may not cover all services or may have referral requirements.

We strive to make the immunotherapy process easy for our patients by offering more convenient hours, including a late night at many of our offices.

When should I refer a patient to Arkansas Allergy & Asthma Clinic?

One out of four patients primary care providers see have allergies, but obviously not all need to be referred for testing. A survey of allergy and asthma patients by the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology concluded about 50% of allergy/asthma patients self-identify as having moderate to severe symptoms. Individuals we are most able to help providers with in the management of their allergic and asthmatic conditions include:

  • year-round or severe seasonal rhinitis
  • chromic or recurrent sinusitis or otitis media
  • chronic or recurrent bronchitis
  • cough
  • asthmatics who are poorly controlled or are moderate to severe
  • atopic dermatitis
  • urticaria
  • drug or penicillin allergy
  • stinging insect allergy
  • patients with recurrent respiratory infections

All of these patients are candidates for an evaluation by our team of specialty trained allergists/immunologists.
